The Universal Language of Music

 

A music teacher is a profession that combines pedagogical, musical and creative skills. A music teacher is an important link in the development of students’ musical perception and taste. He or she teaches them to sing, play musical instruments, helps them understand music, interpret it and improve their musical abilities.

  • History and Theory of Music

Advantages

The program has state and international accreditation. Students are granted a deferment from military service for the duration of their studies.

Career

A graduate of the «Pedagogical Education» program (profile «Music Teacher») receives a state-recognized diploma of higher education and can teach music disciplines in general education and music schools, additional education organizations, play in an orchestra, sing in a choir, perform on stage, write music and make arrangements, and also continue their education in a master’s degree program.

ENTRANCE EXAMS

To enroll in the Music Teacher program, you must pass the following entrance exams:

Mandatory

Russian language (USE, ZAU) — minimum 40 points
Social studies (USE, ZAU) — minimum 42 points
Listening (ZAU) — minimum 45 points

Alternative (after SPO)

Russian language (USE, ZAU) — minimum 40 points
Pedagogy (ZAU) — minimum 40 points
Listening (ZAU) — minimum 45 points

Citizens of the Russian Federation without higher or secondary vocational education provide the results of the Unified State Exam (passed no earlier than 2021) as the results of general educational entrance exams. Other applicants can provide the results of the Unified State Exam or take entrance exams at Zaoksky University. The dates for passing entrance exams at ZAU are August 25-28, 2025. Click:
